I was just recently engaged to one of the most beautiful girls in the world who I love very very much. We are both Christians and want to make God the center of our relationship and we have been doing a wonderful job of that. We recently had the "talk." You know the one that starts with "how far have you been physically with your ex..." After talking through things it broke my heart to think that she has gone so much farther than me physically and I feel that I will be inadequate to please her like he did or to be better/bigger/hotter than her ex. I know she loves me but the image of her with her ex is burnt into my mind. Any suggestions or verses or prayers to help me hinder my thoughts on this?

Hi there I would really encourage you to seek God in this, and just give it up to Him and ask Him to help you leave it in the past where it belongs! I can relate, I am a girl who was also (regretfully) sexual with someone before meeting the guy who I am now engaged to, who is a virgin. I SO WISH I had waited for my husband, and no doubt your gurl feels the same! But you must not torture yourself with images, when you do, you are bringing something that is well and truly dead, back to life. Also, remember that sexual intimacy is all about connecting with your spouse, and all about them. That is what she will find important, and you can learn together- it's new because it's you!
